Skirling Lunch, Soup and a Tale – 13th February

Join us for lunch and a performance by a professional actor on Thursday 13th of February in Skirling Village Hall.

Braw Clan, the Scots language theatre company based in Biggar, and Skirling Lunch invite you to enjoy soup and a roll, lively conversation and a short story read by professional actor James Mackenzie.

You might know James from the BAFTA award-winning Raven, Molly and Mack, River City, Still Game, Taggart or Outlander, or from plays like Sunshine On Leith and Whisky Galore.

He’ll be reading The Kitlins from Linmill Stories, which are based on writer Robert McLellan’s memories of growing up in a Kirkfieldbank fruit farm nearly 100 years ago.

Lunch is £2pp and will be served at 12pm with the reading starting at 12.30pm, followed by a short chat about the story. Hope we’ll see you there!
